What is the Christmas Home Tour?
The Christmas Home Tour, sponsored annually since 1966 by First Congregational United Church of Christ, celebrates the opening of Longmont’s holiday season. Every year, several homes are selected, decorated in holiday themes, and opened for visitors. In addition, a baked goods and other gift items are for sale at the church.
A complimentary tea is also at the church Fireside Room. All work for the Christmas Home Tour is done by volunteers from both the church and the community with proceeds benefiting many Longmont non-profit agencies, like the OUR Center, The Inn Between, Safe Shelter, Meals on Wheels and other organizations. The focus of giving is to groups that prevent or help overcome homelessness.

This year features tours of 4 homes decorated for the holidays located at 314 Bross Street, 1169 Princeton Drive, 7768 Darvey Lane, and 8194 Anchor Drive. The latter two homes are off Highway 287 near Gaynor Lake.
Frosted cranberry wreaths mark the entry to another marvelous room with a Christmas tree of treats -- tour goers can pick their favorites to buy and take home on Dec. 2 or 3.
The Home Tour committee highly recommends attendees visit the Dingwall home on Anchor Drive and then travel to the Laartz home on Darvey Lane to avoid a left turn onto Highway 287. There are no traffic lights at Oxford Rd and Highway 287 or Mooring Drive and Highway 287.
Please see Home Tour for photos of the four homes.
